MILLERSVILLE, PA – The Bryn Mawr outdoor track & field team competed at the Millersville Invite on Saturday, turning in a strong all-around performance highlighted by a relay victory, multiple personal bests, and several top finishes.
Highlights:
- SPRINTS: In the hurdles, Shelbey Lu (13.63) and Awurabena Anane (13.75) led the way in the 100m prelims with strong efforts. Kayla Spencer recorded a season-best 1:09.56 in the 400m, while first-year Allie Lawson finished just behind in 1:10.51. In the 400m hurdles, Dahlia Nemes placed 5th with a time of 1:13.19.
- DISTANCE: In the 800m, Rosa Carbon (2:37.50) and Mckayla Reyer (2:45.06) each posted personal bests, while Cora Rosin added a season-best time of 2:43.20. Senior Eva Ackley placed 7th in the 1500m and posted a personal-best 5:17.91. Sofie Prieto added a season-best performance in the 5000m, crossing in 20:30.27.
- THROWS: Tula Reihman recorded a personal-best 10.77m in the shot put. Her performance puts her in 9th place in the Centennial Conference. Reihman continued her day in hammer throw with a 24.47m mark. Lauren Pritt competed in javelin, securing a mark of 17.03m.
- JUMPS: In triple jump, Jess Johnson placed 4th (10.35m) and Molly Fancher finished sixth (9.98m). Fancher also added an 8th place finish in the long jump (4.51m).
- RELAYS: The Owls' 4x100m relay team of Johnson, Lu, Mika Heshiki, and Anane raced to a 1st place finish with a season-best time of 51.04.
