GETTYSBURG, PA – The Bryn Mawr outdoor track & field team wrapped up competition on Sunday at the Centennial Conference Championships, highlighted by a historic podium performance and a standout showing from the 4x400m relay squad.
Highlights:
- JUMPS: Senior Jess Johnson led the way for the Owls, earning a third-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 10.77 meters. Her performance marks the first time since 2023 that a Bryn Mawr athlete has reached the podium in an individual event at the Outdoor Centennial Conference Championships. Fancher also competed in the triple jump, placing 11th with a mark of 10.07m.
- HURDLES: On the track, Mika Heshiki continued her strong weekend by placing eighth in the finals of the 100m hurdles, crossing the line in 17.60 after qualifying in Saturday's prelims.
- DISTANCE: In distance action, Eva Ackley posted a season-best time of 19:45.25 in the 5k to finish 17th overall.
- RELAYS: The 4x400m relay team of Kayla Spencer, Heshiki, Fancher, and Rosa Carbon delivered one of the top performances of the day for the Owls. The quartet raced to a season-best time of 4:28.32, securing a ninth-place finish and closing out the meet with momentum.
