BRYN MAWR, PA – The Bryn Mawr College outdoor track & field team competed at the Bill Butler Invitational on Friday and Saturday, turning in a competitive showing highlighted by strong finishes and an 11
th place finish.
Highlights:
- SPRINTS: Dahlia Nemes led the Owls in the 100m, clocking a 13.45 in the prelims to pace Bryn Mawr with a 9th place finish. Fellow sophomore, Nora Hunter joined Nemes in the event, earning a personal best (14.85). Mika Heshiki paced the Owls in the 100m hurdles prelims, qualifying for the finals with a time of 16.79 and ultimately finishing 5th on the day. Nemes secured a personal best and 8th place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:13.08.
- MID-DISTANCE & DISTANCE: The Owls saw a competitive effort from Rosa Carbon and Cora Rosin in the 1500m. Carbon earned a personal best finish (5:29.54) and Rosin secured a season best (5:39.95). Emma Smirk had a strong showing in the 5k, earning a personal best in the event (20:36.72)
- JUMPS: Jessica Johnson earned a spot on the podium in long jump, hitting a mark of 4.93m. Molly Fancher joined her in the event, landed a jump of 4.54m to place 8th.
- RELAYS: The 4x400m relay squad of Allie Lawson, Heshiki, Carbon and Kayla Spencer took 6th place with a time of 4:39.79.
