Box Score COLLEGEVILLE, PA - Bryn Mawr tennis opened its Centennial Conference schedule in dominant fashion on Saturday afternoon, defeating Ursinus College, 6-1. The victory marks the Owls' third consecutive win.
Highlights:
- Bryn Mawr set the tone early, securing the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. The first-year duo of Bianca Vesuna and Shay Villegas earned a decisive 6-1 victory at No. 2, while seniors Sophie Fenster and Gioanna Zhao delivered a flawless 6-0 win at No. 3.
- Fenster carried that momentum into singles, posting a commanding 6-0, 6-2 victory at the No. 1 spot. Kelli Eng followed with a strong performance at No. 2 singles, winning 6-1, 6-3 to clinch the match for the Owls.
- Claire Emanuel battled through a three-set thriller at No. 3 singles, taking the first set, 6-1, and the third set, 6-2Â to secure the victory.
- Vesuna added another point at No. 5 singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win, while fellow first-year Lily Braswell rounded out the lineup with a straight-set victory (6-2, 6-4) at No. 6.
