COLLEGEVILLE, PA- School records continued to fall for Owls at the Ursinus Collegeville Classic on Saturday morning. Senior Malin Just set the school record in the 1000m dash in her first attempt at the event this year. Bryn Mawr's first- years also came ready to compete at the meet and the team finished the day strong.

SPRINTS/HURDLES: First-year Mika Heshiki finished third in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.98s, while fellow classmate Dahlia Nemes finished fifth with a new personal best of 11.41s. Three Owls (Kayla Camille – 9.59s, Molly Fancher – 9.04s, and Nethmi Dharmasena – 9.87s) all made the finals in the 60m dash. Both Fancher and Dharmasena went on to set season bests in the finals with times of 8.93s and 9.73s respectively. Lucy Sparks Mendez also ran her fastest 60m of the season and recorded a time of 10.83s. In the 300m dash, first-year Autumn Williams set a personal record in the 300m.

ENDURANCE: Just took first place in the 1000m dash while securing her second school record of the year (3:01.56). In the event, she was joined by Alyson Bostrom (3:28.68) and Emma Smirk (3:53.93), both of whom set personal records and Cora Rosin (3:32.07) who set a season best. Lauren Kitay took first place in the mile with a time of 5:33.79. Eva Ackley (11:22.53) ran her second personal record of the season in the 3k event and earned a qualifying time for the Centennial Conference Championships as well. Along with Ackley, Sohini Sarkar secured a personal record in the 3k, cutting almost 20s off her time from last week.

RELAYS: Athletes from the mile and 1000m cycled back for a distance 4x400m to round out the meet. The quartet of Just, Bostrom, Rosin, and Kitay ran 4:46.77 to finish off the meet for the Owls. Bryn Mawr also had the opportunity to partner up with the Bears of Ursinus College in the first ever Combined 4x400m, in which Heshiki and Fancher combined with two sprinters from the Ursinus Men's team to run 4:06.55.
The Owls turn their attention to Saturday January 25th where they will travel to Lancaster, PA to compete at the Coach I Invitational at Franklin and Marshall University.
