LEBANON, PA - The indoor track and field team kicked off the New Year at Lebanon Valley College on Friday evening for their first meet of 2025. The Owls had a strong showing throughout the meet with many recording personal bests and Centennial Conference qualifying results.
Highlights:
-
Sprints/Hurdles: First year hurdlers, Mika Heshiki and Dahlia Nemes both set personal records during their trials only to turn around and improve upon them in the finals (9.78s and 10.64s, respectively). Heshiki doubled back to set a PR in the 300m (47.00s) along with teammates Shelbey Lu (49.73s) and Autumn Williams (48.92s).

Endurance: The distance crew started the new year right where they left off in 2024; with PRs and impressive racing. Senior captain Sohini Sarkar stood as the lone Owl in the 3k event. Sarkar finished in a time of 13.39.62 for Bryn Mawr and set the first PR of 2025 in the distance events. The milers finished up the day for the Owls, yet despite the long wait, senior captain Malin Just kept her PR streak alive, running 5:27.96 with Lauren Kitay following close behind (5:33.14). Both athletes qualified for the Centennial Conference Championships. Cora Rosin also set a season best in the mile and Lauren Pritt earned her first college PR.
