MEDFORD, Mass. – Senior Margaret Hardigg and Owls head coach Jason Hewitt of the Bryn Mawr College indoor track and field team competed in the Tufts National Qualifying Meet on Saturday at the Gantcher Center.

The meet served as a final qualifier for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, which will be held March 10-11 in Birmingham, Alabama. The top 20 athletes nationwide in each individual event and the top 12 teams in each relay event will earn a spot in the national championships with selections announced tomorrow (Sunday, March 5) at 7 p.m.

On the day, Hardigg competed in her main event of the high jump. The senior reached 1.51m on her first attempt, but did not manage a clear of 1.56m on her final attempt. Overall, she finished eighth in the event.

The indoor track and field program will take a quick hiatus for spring break before returning to campus to prepare for the outdoor season.
