LANCASTER, PA- The Owls opened the Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday with a historic performance, highlighted by senior
Jess Johnson's conference title in the triple jump and multiple personal-bests. Bryn Mawr ended day one with 11 points and a 10
th place finish.
Highlights:
- SPRINTS: The Owls saw strong efforts in the 60m prelims Tebreia Vann-Crump led Bryn Mawr with a time of 8.15. Awurabena Anane joined Van-Crump in the event and posted a season-best (8.36). Sophomore Shelbey Lu ran a personal-best of 8.59, and Dahlia Nemes added a personal-best (8.64).
- DISTANCE: Senior Eva Ackley turned in a season-best performance in the 5000m, finishing in 19:46.64 to represent the Owls in the distance events.
- JUMPS: Johnson soared to a first-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 10.87m, earning 10 team points and etching her name into program history. Johnson is the first Owl ever to win the triple jump at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships and the first Bryn Mawr athlete to capture an individual indoor conference title since Kass Wojcik and Jennica Terry in 2020.
- THROWS: Sophomore Tula Reihman in the weight throw event, recording a personal-best 10.25m to add valuable team points.
- RELAYS: Bryn Mawr's 4x200m relay team of Vann-Crump, Mika Heshiki, Nemes, and Lu placed eighth in 1:52.83, earning a team point. The Distance Medley relay squad of Rosa Carbon, Natasha Kwiatkowski, Cora Rosin, and Sofie Prieto crossed the line in 14:14.38 to round out the day.
