SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Sophomore Kendall Baller scored a 6-1, 6-4, win Friday afternoon to post Bryn Mawr's lone victory on the afternoon against Swarthmore.

The Garnet jumped out to an early 3-0 lead following doubles play. No. 1 doubles tandem of seniors Vivien Chen and Jenny Vogel lost their match 8-0. The second doubles duo of senior Catherine Austin and sophomore Melina Koukoutchos as well as the No. 3 team of Baller and classmate Tirsa Delate fell 8-1, to their respective opponents.

Baller earned her fifth individual win of the season. Chen fell in the top spot 6-1, 6-1, while Vogel dropped her No. 2 match, 6-3, 6-1. Koukoutchose, play third singles, lost to Alli Wong 6-0, 6-2, as Delate fell in the fifth position 6-1, 6-2. In the No. 6 spot, freshman Rachael Abraham fell 6-0, 6-1, to Jackie Lane.

The Owls will take on McDaniel on Saturday, April 19, at 1:00 pm.
