BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The visiting Muhlenberg College Mules swept doubles play before win each slight of singles play to pick-up a 9-0 win over Bryn Mawr Tuesday evening.
In doubles action, the senior tandem of Vivien Chen and Eliza Perocchi fell 8-2 in the top spot while sophomore Melina Koukoutchos and senior Jenny Vogel fell by the same score at No. 2. In the third position, freshman Rachael Abraham and sophomore Kendall Baller took their opponent Gabriela Contino and Jennifer Goldberg to the brink but fell in the tiebreaker 9-8 (2).
In singles action, Chen fell to Nina Sanders 6-2, 6-2, while Vogel dropped her no. 2 match 6-3, 6-1. Perocchi, play at third singles, fell 6-3, 6-0 before Koukoutchos fell in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. From the No. 5 spot, Baller was blanked 6-0, 6-0, by Jamie Rosenblum, before sophomore Tirsa Delate fell 7-5, 6-3, from the No. 6 position.
Bryn Mawr returns to action on Friday, April 4, when they play host to Ursinus at 4:00 pm.
