NORTHAMPTON, MA- The Owls traveled to compete in the Peter de Villiers Cup on Friday evening, taking on Smith College, Mount Holyoke College, and Wellesley College. Bryn Mawr delivered strong performances across sprints, distance, field events, and relays, highlighted by multiple podium finishes and a new top 100 Division III mark in the distance medley relay.
Highlights:
- SPRINTS: Tebreia Vann-Crump led the Owls in the 60m dash, placing second overall with a time of 8.21. Shelbey Lu followed with an 8.69, while Mika Heshiki added a third-place finish in the 60m hurdles (9.86). In the 200m, Dahlia Nemes clocked a 29.67.
- DISTANCE: Natasha Kwiatkowski turned in a strong performance in the 600m, finishing in 1:59.10. Cora Rosin competed in the 1000m (3:34.73), while Emma Smirk posted a 6:20.58 in the mile. In the 3000m, Mckayla Reyer crossed in 12:20.49. The highlight of the distance events came in the 4000m distance relay, where the quartet of Rosa Carbon, Cora Rosin, Sofie Prieto, and Eva Ackley placed fourth overall in 14:11.45. The time ranks No. 94 in Division III this season, marking a significant benchmark for the program.
- JUMPS: Jess Johnson had a standout meet, placing third in the high jump (1.43m) long jump (5.02m), and in the triple jump (10.47m). Molly Fancher recorded a 4.54m mark in the long jump and took fourth in the triple jump (10.21m).
- THROWS: Tula Reihman made her collegiate debut in the throws with a fourth-place finish in the shot put (9.59m) and a 9.81m mark in the weight throw, both personal bests for the sophomore. Lauren Pritt added a 6.54m throw in the shot put and 6.19m in the weight throw.
- RELAYS: The 4x200m relay team of Heshiki, Johnson, Nemes, and Lu placed third in 1:55.50, securing valuable team points.
