Bryn Mawr Swimming Continues with Strong Performances in Day 2 of Conference Championships

LANCASTER PA- The Owls continued Centennial Conference championship competition on Friday with two sessions filled with strong performances. Bryn Mawr continued to build momentum on the second day of competition with a series of personal and season-best performances across multiple events. The Owls finished the day in 7th place with 80 points, just 16 points behind Dickinson College heading into Saturday's session.

Morning Session Highlights:
  • In the 500-yard freestyle, Dugan Dugan, Samantha Ings, and Shoshana Peck all delivered strong swims for the Owls. Dugan was the first Bryn Mawr swimmer to touch the wall, earning a personal best of 5:34.97 after shaving nearly 15 seconds off their previous mark. Ings followed with an impressive 15 second drop from her seed time to finish in 5:39.32. Peck also secured a personal best in the event, clocking in at 5:53.02 — a seven-second improvement from her seed time.
  • The 200-yard IM saw standout efforts from senior Jane Farrell and first-year Chloe Amos. Farrell posted a personal best time of 2:17.72, cutting three seconds from her seed time. Amos finished just behind the senior and matched the momentum with a personal best of her own, touching in 2:18.28.
  • In the 50-yard freestyle, Dalia Ibrahim, Maya Madden, and Adrianna Porter Meachem represented Bryn Mawr. Ibrahim led the trio with a season best 25.54, while Madden followed closely with her own season best time of 25.67. Porter Meachem rounded out the event for the Owls with a personal best performance of 26.80.
Evening Session Highlights:
  • In the evening session, Bryn Mawr raced two relays in the 400-yard Medley relay. The team of Amos, Ings, Farrell and Shelby Jackson earned a place in the Bryn Mawr record book with a top-10 time, and finished in 13th place with a time of 4:12.53. Joining them in the event was the squad of Madden, Kayla Bass, Ibrahim and Dugan, finishing in 4:22.63 — a 13-second drop from their previous time.
