LANCASTER, PA - Bryn Mawr swimming returned to the pool Saturday for day three of the Centennial Conference Championships at Franklin & Marshall College, turning in a record-breaking morning and a strong slate of evening finals performances.
Morning Session Highlights:
- Senior Jane Farrell opened the day with a historic swim in the 100-yard butterfly, breaking the Bryn Mawr school record in prelims with a 58.03. The mark surpassed her previous seed time of 59.04 and punched her ticket to the evening finals, continuing an impressive senior championship campaign. She was joined in the event by Maya Madden (1:00.38), Dalia Ibrahim (1:03.20), Shelby Jackson (1:03.38), and Adrianna Porter Meachem (1:13.46).
- First-year Dugan Dugan led the Owls in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:02.82, followed by Mina Doebele (2:07.48) and Lexi Mireider (2:09.94).
- Samantha Ings paced Bryn Mawr in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:13.05. Kayla Bass (1:20.78) and Mireider (1:22.82) added solid swims in the event.
- Chloe Amos closed out the morning in the 100-yard backstroke, moving from sixth to third on Bryn Mawr's all-time Top-10 list in the event. Her 14th-place prelim finish secured a return swim in the evening finals.
Evening Session Highlights:
- The Owls opened the finals session with a milestone performance in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The relay of Farrell, Madden, Dugan, and Ibrahim combined for a 1:41.94 — a Top-5 time in program history — to place 13th overall. Farrell led off in 25.61, followed by Madden (25.33), Dugan (25.58), and Ibrahim (25.42) to cap a statement swim for the quartet.
- Farrell returned in the B final of the 100-yard butterfly, finishing 16th overall with a 59.56 to wrap up a record-setting day.
- Amos once again closed out the night for Bryn Mawr, placing 14th in the 100-yard backstroke with a 1:00.44, improving on her morning time and adding valuable team points.
