COLLEGEVILLE, PA- The Bryn Mawr College track and field team traveled to Ursinus College on Saturday for the Centennial Conference Championships. The high jumpers of Colby Rassmassler and Jess Johnson delivered standout performances, contributing 10 of the team's 13 total points on the day for an 8th place finish.

HURDLES: First-year athletes Mika Heshiki and Dahlia Nemes both competed in the 100HH and 400IH prelims. Heshiki ran for her second fastest performance of all time in the event (17.02), while Nemes finished with a new personal record (19.33). The pair ended the day with the 400IH with Heshiki finishing 9th (1:13.43) and Nemes finishing 14th (1:18.35).

JUMPS: The duo of Jess Johnson and Colby Rossmassler took to the high jump event where Rossmassler finished in 5th place, tying her all-time personal record of 1.50m. The senior's performance helped score four points for the team. Johnson medaled in the event with a 3rd place finish and a new personal record of 1.55m. Combined, Rossmassler and Johnson scored 10 points for the Owls during the high jump event. Later in the day, Johnson joined teammates Molly Fancher and Nemes in the long jump pit to conclude the field events for the Owls. Nemes finished with a jump of 4.11m and Fancher finished with a mark of 4.73m. Johnson advanced to the finals and finished 8th with a personal record (5.22m).

RELAYS: The 4x800m team, comprised of McDonald, Cora Rosin, Phylicia Cannon, and Emma Smirk, finished 7th in the Conference to add two more points to the team total. Rosin, Cannon, and Smirk all added personal record splits to finish in 10:42.08.
After Saturday's performance, the Owls finished with 13 points on the day. The team finished in 8th but remain in striking distance of four other Conference opponents heading into tomorrow's competition.
