Strong Day for the Owls at Conference Championships

ALLENTOWN, PA – The Bryn Mawr outdoor track & field team returned to Muhlenberg earlier Saturday to compete in the second day of the Centennial Conference Championships.

Highlights:
  • JUMPS: Jess Johnson and Colby Rossmassler began the second day of conference championships in the high jump. Rossmassler matched an all-time PR with a clearance at 1.42m, while Johnson went on to clear 1.47m and finish 5th in the competition. Johnson finished 8th in the long jump as well with a mark of 5.08m. Molly Fancher also competed in the long jump to finish with a mark of 4.22m.
  • SPRINTS: Awurabena Anane finished 20th in the 100m dash with a time of 13.26s. Kayla Camille capped a successful junior season with a new PR in the 100m dash to run 13.74s in the trials.
  • THROWS: Nora Steil returned to the oval to throw 31.36m in the discus, earning a new PR by over 2m. Steil finished 13th in the event.
  • ENDURANCE: Malin Just (2.27s) and Ellie Schumacher (2.24s) set new PRs in the 800m trials. Just finished 6th, advancing her to the finals on Sunday, while Schumacher finished 9th overall.
  • RELAYS: The 4x800m team of Lauren Kitay, Schumacher, Cora Rosin, and Caroline Robertson ran a season best time of 10.07 and finished 6th in the event.
The Owls will return tomorrow for the third and final day of the Centennial Conference Championships.
