COLLEGEVILLE, PA. – The Bryn Mawr track & field team competed earlier Saturday for Day Two of the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival.
Highlights:
- Sprints: Despite the weather conditions and a delay due to timing issues, Kayla Camille improved upon her season opener in the 100m dash, setting a season-best of 14.30s, qualifying for Centennial Conference Championships. She was joined by Colby Rossmassler, who also set a season best of 15.71s.
- Jumps: Slick boards made for treacherous conditions at the Triple Jump, but Jess Johnson (9.93m) and Molly Fancher (9.91m) both qualified for the Centennial Conference Championships with season-best marks.
- Throws: Wasting no time in the circle, Nora Steil set her Hammer PR at 29.17m on her first attempt. The new PR improves upon Steil's previously set qualifying mark in this event.
- Endurance: Malin set a season-best of 2:28 in the 800m to qualify for the Centennial Conference Championships. Caroline Robertson set a new PR in the 1500m to set a second in the 800m, running 2:32. Season bests also came from Ellie Schumacher (2:38), Cora Rosin (2:40), Luka Bati (2:40), and Anna Lowrance (3:04). In one of the last races of the day for the Owls, Mckayla Reyer set her collegiate PR (2:55) in the 800m by earning the heat win in a gutsy second lap.
