PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr track & field team sent a couple of relay squads to the historic Penn Relays earlier Friday, with the Owls seeing impressive results on the day.
Bryn Mawr got the day started with the 4x100 relay. The quartet of Colby Rossmassler, Kayla Camille, Alex deLeuze, and Kass Wojcik competed in the event, helping the Owls put up one of their fastest times in a handful of years. Bryn Mawr's squad posted a time of 54.87 in the event, marking their best performance since the 2017 season.
In the evening, another four Owls combined for another strong performance. The squad of Carey Parker, Kass Wojcik, Malin Just, and Bethany Quist paced Bryn Mawr in the 4x400 relay with the team once again setting a strong time. The Owls took eleventh place in the event, crossing the line in a time of 4:27.31 for a new outdoor season best.
Bryn Mawr will be back in action tomorrow as the squad will send a contingent over to Elizabethtown for the Blue Jay Tune Up meet. The Owls are also gearing up for the 2022 Centennial Conference Championships, which are slated to start on Friday, May 6 at Ursinus.
