Muhlenberg Tops Lacrosse in League Tilt

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Host Muhlenberg tallied 12 first-half goals as they cruised past visiting Bryn Mawr 17-2 Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference action.

The Mules scored the game's first goal 35-seconds into action when Angela Napoletano took a pass from Michelle Certosimo and found the back of the net. Muhlenberg added 10 more goals to take an 11-0 lead with 9:29 left in the opening half.

The Owls finally got on the board with 5:18 to play in the half when senior Emily Levine picked-up her third goal on the season. Muhlenberg added another tally before the end of the half to hold a commanding 12-1 lead.

In the second-half, Muhlenberg scored a pair of goals just over three minutes apart, before sophomore Kathleen Magner recorded Bryn Mawr's second goal of the game on an unassisted shot at 12:01.

The Mules found the back of the net three more time as they cruised to their 5th win of the season.

In addition to Levine and Magner's goals, junior Kelsey Harris scooped-up a team-best three ground balls while senior Natalie Chrismer and Magner won three draws each. Between the pipes, senior Kate Flaming turned away four shots.

The Owls are back to action when they travel to Neumann on Tuesday, April 17. Game time is set for 7:00 pm in Aston, Pa.
