Box Score

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Senior Miranda Gordon-Zigel recorded four goals and handed out one assist as Bryn Mawr fell to host Immaculata, 16-10, in non-conference action Thursday night. In a back-and-forth first-half, the opening frame produced six ties.

Gordon-Zigel got the Owls on the board first with an unassisted goal only 53-seconds into the game. The Mighty Macs evened the game just over a minute later as Emily Hallett scored her first of three goals on the day.

Bryn Mawr regained the lead when senior Natalie Chrismer netted her first of two goals on a free position shot. Once again, Immaculata knotted the game at 2-2, on a Hallett tally. Sophomore Kathleen Magner gave the Owls a 3-2 a minute later on an unassisted goal.

Immaculata came back to not only give the game its third tie, but take a one-goal lead, with 19:40 to play. In similar fashion, the Owls tied the game on Chrismer's second goal of the game at 17:58, before regaining the lead, 5-4, as senior Zoe Pond-McPherson netted a free position shot.

After a pair of Immaculata goals, Gordon-Zigel found the back of the net with help from junior Melina Higgins to tie the game yet again. The Macs added two more goals before Gordon-Zigel handed out an assist to classmate Mae Carlson on a power play following an Anne Moulton yellow card.

Immaculata tacked on three more goals over the final five minutes of the half to take an 11-7 lead into the intermission.

The Macs scored the second-half's first goal as Alyssa Petito scored on a man-advantage.

Gordon-Zigel netted back-to-back goals with Carlson helping on the first goal at 21:25 and 15:11, respectively. At 11:55, Magner recorded Bryn Mawr's final goal as she went between the pipes unassisted.

Immaculata tacked on four more goals, a pair of tallies from both Danielle Lopez and Petito, to secure their third win of the season.

In goal for the Owls, senior Kate Flaming posted 14 saves and one ground ball as Gordon-Zigel, senior Emily Levine and Magner each picked-up three. Magner tallied seven draws while Gordon-Zigel caused a pair of turnovers.

Bryn Mawr is back to action on Saturday, April 14, when they travel to Muhlenberg for a 1:00 pm showdown with the Mules.
