Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – Sophomore Kathleen Magner netted a game-high five goals but it wasn't enough as the Owls fell to host Arcadia University, 15-7, in non-league action Tuesday afternoon.
It only took the Knights three minutes before they got on the board on an unassisted Meghan Fallon goal. Arcadia tacked on seen more over the 23-minutes to take a commanding 8-0 lead.
Senior Natalie Chrismer got the Owls on the board by way of a free position shot with 1:06 left in the half.
Arcadia opened up the second frame by netting five straight goals to push their lead to twelve, 13-1. With 17:16 to play, senior Miranda Gordon-Zigel registered an unassisted goal, followed by the first of Magner's five just over two minutes later.
Following another Fallon goal for the Knights, Magner scored Byn Mawr's next four goals over a seven minute span. Her four goals were split-up by a Katie Bauer tally with 5:40 to play.
Leading Arcadia with five goals and a pair of assists was Haylee Malloy. Fallon added five goals and Jaclyn Feffer handed out two assists.
In addition to Magner's five goals, she won six draws and caused one turnover. Senior goalie Kate Flaming scooped-up a team-best eight ground balls while turning away 11 shots.
Bryn Mawr returns to the field when they host Cedar Crest College on Thursday, March 20, at 4:00 pm. Bryn Mawr College President, Jane McAuliffe, will serve a guest coach on the Owls' sidelines.
