Lacrosse Falls in Centennial Conference Action to Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa. – Host Dickinson College used a 13-goal first-half as they cruised to a 21-2 Centennial Conference win against Bryn Mawr Saturday afternoon.

Scoring the Owls' tallies on the day was senior Natalie Chrismer and sophomore Kathleen Magner.

The Red Devils opened the day by scoring nine straight goals before Magner found the back of the net with 13:55 to play. The Owls squandered three more goals over the next three minutes as Dickinson held a commanding 12-1 lead.

With 6:13 left in the opening half, Chrismer scored her fifth goal of the season. The Dickinson added one more goal on a free position shot with 3:39 remaining to give the Devils a 13-2 lead.

The second-half was all Dickinson as they tacked on eight more gals to secure their first conference victory of the year and fourth win overall.

Linzi Burstein, Val Hoffman and Carly O'Brien led Dickinson with three goals each. Ten other Devils recorded tallies on the afternoon. Amanda Mose stopped six Bryn Mawr shots in goal.

Senior Kate Flaming and Magner scooped-up two ground balls while Magner added a pair of draws. Flaming posted eight saves on the day between the pipes.

Bryn Mawr is back to action when they travel to Glenside, Pa., on Tuesday, March 20, for a 4:00 pm contest against Arcadia.
