About Dr. Peter Thompson
Peter Thompson, Ed.D., LPC, CMPC, BCC earned his doctorate in Counseling and Human Development from the University of Rochester, his master's degree in Counseling from Villanova University, and his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Richmond. Thompson is a certified mental performance consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Psychology and a PA licensed professional counselor (LPC).Â
Throughout his varied career Thompson has previously directed a graduate level student affairs department, served as an NCAA athletic department mental performance consultant, sport psychology, positive psychology, and counselor education adjunct, elite club and NCAA head swimming coach, and secondary school counselor.Â
In addition to his work for Bryn Mawr College, Thompson operates his own private psychotherapy and sport psychology practice in the Philadelphia area.
