BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr Volleyball team fell at home in its Centennial Conference opener to McDaniel inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
 
Highlights:

• Bryn Mawr (4-6, 0-1 Centennial) and McDaniel (8-3, 1-0) traded points to start the match before a quick three-point run for the Owls moved the score to 8-5 in favor of the home side. Later in the frame, BMC took a 13-8 lead thanks to a kill from Emma Loller. The Green Terror managed to level the score at 15-15 thanks to a 7-2 run from the visitors. A back-and-forth exchange saw Bryn Mawr take a 20-17 lead before McDaniel notched eight-straight points to take the first set, 25-20.
• The second set saw McDaniel jump ahead to an early 5-1 advantage. The Green Terror extended the lead to 14-7 before the Owls closed the gap to just three points at 19-16. McDaniel closed out the second set in similar fashion to the first, notching six-straight to take the frame 25-16.
• Bryn Mawr and McDaniel each posted a series of short runs in the beginning of the third set as the score moved to 12-9. A 6-0 run from the Green Terror put them ahead 18-9 thanks to three consecutive aces. The Owls were unable to find an answer to make the comeback, dropping the set 25-14.
• Lucy Divis led the team with seven kills while Adelaide Grace followed closely behind with six. Loller ended the contest with four kills while Tula Reihman notched two blocks and a kill. Charlotte Mullen recorded 18 assists and an ace in the bout.

Bryn Mawr is back in action on Wednesday, September 30 for its second game of a four-game homestand as they host Immaculata at 7 p.m.
