Soccer Drops Home Match to No. 21 Swarthmore

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr soccer team fell to Swarthmore in a Centennial Conference (CC) matchup at Applebee Field on Saturday afternoon, 6-0.
 
Highlights:
  • Swarthmore (6-1-1) got on the board first, as Celia Kanellakos got one past the Bryn Mawr (1-7) goalkeeper just 79 seconds in.
  • The Garnet scored again in the 11th minute, as Charlotte Carleton converted a penalty kick to make it 2-0.
  • Swarthmore notched two more goals in the half, thanks to Ava Gizzie and Liesel Blau. Both goals were assisted by Izzy Tolosa.
  • The Garnet netted another two goals in the second half from Kanellakos and Anwen Reed.
  • Bryn Mawr showed offensive pressure late in the frame, highlighted by a last-minute shot from Ciara Grimes.
 
The Owls are back in action on Saturday, September 26 as they travel to take on King's College in a non-conference bout at 7:30 p.m.
