WESTMINSTER, Md. - Bryn Mawr Soccer began conference play on Saturday afternoon, rallying defensively in the second half, but two early goals proved to be the difference in a loss to McDaniel College.
Highlights:
- Carly Brock got the Green Terror started early, finding the back of the net in the opening minutes to give McDaniel a 1-0 lead.
- Lauren Green added to McDaniel's lead at the 28:21 mark, extending the advantage to 2-0 heading into halftime.
- The Owls responded with a stronger defensive effort in the second half, holding McDaniel scoreless for the remainder of the contest.
- McDaniel finished the match with a 23-0 advantage in shots.
- Goalkeeper Lily Blackman helped anchor the Owls defensively, finishing the contest with nine saves.
