ALLENTOWN, PA – Bryn Mawr tennis turned in a strong performance on Tuesday afternoon, sweeping Muhlenberg, 7–0, in Centennial Conference action on the road. The Owls controlled the match from start to finish, earning a clean sweep in doubles play before rolling through all six singles matches in straight sets to secure the shutout victory.
Highlights:
- The No. 1 doubles pair of Kelli Eng and Claire Emanuel set the tone with a dominant 6–0 victory.
- First-years Bianca Vesuna and Shay Villegas followed with a strong 6–2 win at No. 2 doubles.
- Seniors Sophie Fenster and Gioanna Zhao completed the sweep at No. 3 doubles with a decisive 6–1 result.
- Fenster led the way in singles at the top spot, earning a convincing 6–3, 6–1 win.
- Eng delivered another dominant performance at No. 2 singles, allowing just three total games in a 6–1, 6–2 victory.
- Emanuel remained unbeaten on the day with a straight-set win (6-4, 6-3) at No. 3 singles.
- Carina Roberts secured a 6–4, 6–0 win at No. 4 singles to continue the Owls' momentum.
- Vesuna was nearly flawless at No. 5 singles, cruising to a 6–0, 6–1 victory.
- Zhao capped the sweep at No. 6 singles with a 6–2, 6–1 win.
The Owls will return home on Saturday, April 11
