Bryn Mawr Tennis Honors Eng, Fenster, Zhao as the Owls Battle Washington College

BRYN MAWR, PA – The Bryn Mawr College tennis team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday morning before falling 6-1 to Washington College in Centennial Conference action.
Prior to the match, seniors Kelli Eng, Sophie Fenster, and Gioanna Zhao were honored for their contributions to the program, recognized for their dedication and leadership over their careers.

Highlights:
  • Bryn Mawr picked up its lone point of the day in doubles play. At No. 3 doubles, the senior duo of Fenster and Zhao delivered a strong performance, earning a 7-5 victory. The Owls also battled at No. 2 doubles, where Bianca Vesuna and Shay Villegas pushed their opponents to a tiebreak winning, 7-6, (8-6).
  • In singles competition, Bryn Mawr fought in several tightly contested matches. Eng forced a third set at No. 2 singles after taking the opening set 6-4, but came up just short in a tiebreak.
  • Vesuna also opened strong at No. 5 singles with a 6-2 first-set win before Washington College rallied to take the match in three sets.
