BRYN MAWR, PA – The Bryn Mawr tennis team celebrated Apple Day with a home match against Stevens Institute of Technology. The Owls pushed three singles matches to decisive third sets, but the Ducks claimed all seven team points.

• Stevens set the tone early, sweeping doubles to secure the opening team point.

Kelli Eng battled at No. 2 singles, taking the first set 6-4 before her opponent evened the match. In the third-set 10-point tiebreak, Stevens pulled away for a 10-2 win.
• At No. 6 singles,
Giselle Gandakusuma also opened strong with a 6-3 first-set win. After dropping the second 6-2, the match went to a full third set, where Stevens took control, 6-2.

Sophie Fenster delivered a gritty performance at No. 1 singles. The senior edged the first set 7-5, but her Stevens opponent pushed the second to a tiebreak. Ultimately, the match came down to a close 10-point tiebreak with the Ducks securing the final point of the match.
