How it Happened:
- Bryn Mawr began the first quarter with an early layup by Vollor, establishing an initial lead. The Fords responded with consistent scoring, capitalizing on turnovers and building momentum through efficient play in the paint. Briggs contributed two free throws, maintaining a close score, but challenges in maintaining possession led to further opportunities for Haverford. As the quarter continued, the Fords extended their lead with a late 3-pointer. A late layup by Bridget Barron narrowed the gap slightly, but the quarter ended with the Fords ahead 20-8.
- Bryn Mawr came out in the second quarter with a fast-break layup by Hannah Mack, cutting the deficit early on. Despite several scoring opportunities, Bryn Mawr struggled to keep pace with the Fords' efficient shooting, particularly in the paint, where Haverford scored 12 points. Bryn Mawr managed to cash in a 3-pointer from Gelhar, bringing momentum back, but turnovers proved costly. The first half of play ended with Bryn Mawr trailing, 40–22 at halftime.
- Bryn Mawr opened the second half on the offensive attack, earning four points from the free-throw line early on. Briggs and Jiang led a brief scoring surge with consecutive 3-pointers, trimming the deficit to 47-30. Although the Owls found momentum, turnovers slowed scoring as Bryn Mawr committed eight in the quarter. Defensively, the Owls secured 13 rebounds, limiting second-chance opportunities for the Fords'. However, Haverford capitalized on turnovers, scoring 10 points off them and maintaining their lead. The quarter closed with the Fords ahead, 58-38.
- In the final frame, the Owls attempted to close the gap, with a layup from Briggs at 8:41, which brought the score to 40-61. Bryn Mawr scored in the paint, but faced a steady response from the Fords, who capitalized on second chances and bench contributions. Briggs later connected on a 3-pointer at 5:27, narrowing the margin to 48-67. The team maintained pressure with rebounds and a block from Vollor at 3:59. However, Haverford's consistent shooting helped them keep them in the lead.
