Bryn Mawr Basketball Faces Tough Loss Against Muhlenberg

BRYN MAWR, PA — Bryn Mawr basketball fell to Muhlenberg, 65-43, at the Class of 1958 Gymnasium earlier Wednesday. Despite an early lead, the Owls were outscored 38-18 in the paint, while the visitors secured a 42-34 edge in rebounds.

How It Happened:
  • Bryn Mawr started strong in the first quarter, gaining an early lead with Jenna Vollor's layup assisted by Michelle Jiang. A three-pointer from Jenny Briggs extended the early advantage to 5-1. Despite the efforts, Bryn Mawr faced a scoring challenge as the quarter progressed.
  • Muhlenberg responded with effective play in the paint, notably scoring 12 of their 16 points from inside, which helped them take control. The Owls' defense was active, forcing three turnovers, but did not manage to capitalize offensively. The quarter closed with Bryn Mawr trailing 16-9.
  • In the second quarter, Jenny Briggs sparked a scoring effort with a pair of three-pointers, accounting for six of the team's 13 points. Despite this contribution, turnovers hampered momentum.
