Owls Sweep Rosemont in Home Opener

BRYN MAWR, PA - The Bryn Mawr volleyball team thrilled the home crowd inside the Class of 1958 Gymnasium on Thursday night, sweeping Rosemont 3–0 in decisive fashion. Behind a dominant serving performance and balanced offensive contributions, the Owls improved to 2–1 on the young season with set scores of 25–8, 25–6, and 25–12.

Highlights:

  • Bryn Mawr set the tone early with a commanding first set, fueled by multiple kills from Emma Loller and Elise Perry, along with timely setting from Anna Dravk.
  • The Owls racked up 21 service aces on the night, led by first-year Amanda Hughes with eight. Tula Reihman and Saya Feldman each chipped in key serving streaks that put Rosemont on its heels.
  • The team finished with 25 kills, paced by Loller (6), Reihman (5), and Adelaide Grace (4). Julia Zimmerman-Boyer was a perfect 4-for-5 in attacks to add to the offensive efficiency.
  • Bryn Mawr limited Rosemont to just 3 kills across all three sets. Micah Sheppard added a solo block, while Feldman and Hughes anchored the back row with solid passing and digs.
  • Twelve different Owls saw action, with contributions across the board. First-year Clara Sirois and sophomore Charlotte Mullen each tallied assists, while Deirdre Dasil added a service ace in her stint on court.

The Bryn Mawr volleyball team will compete in a Penn State Tri-Match on Saturday, September 6th at Brandywine in Media, PA. The Owls will compete against Brandywine and Abington at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM respectively.
