BRYN MAWR, PA. – The Bryn Mawr field hockey team controlled play from start to finish on Sunday afternoon, earning a 2-0 victory over Kenyon on Shillingford Field. The home team dictated play in their offensive half for much of the game.
Highlights:
- After a scoreless first half despite an 8–0 shot advantage in the opening quarter, the Owls broke through in the third. Annick van Blerkom put Bryn Mawr on the board at 34:36, scoring her second goal of the season off of a corner reception from Noor Werndlij.
- Just under seven minutes later, the Owls doubled the lead when Delia Angulo Chen shot into Kenyon's circle and Rachel Ofner chipped it in, to put the Owls ahead, 2-0.
- From there, Bryn Mawr's defense locked down to preserve the shutout. The Owls outshot Kenyon 24–3 on the day and earned 14 penalty corners, while goalkeeper Charlene Basque needed to make just one save to secure the clean sheet.
