LANGHORNE, PA – The Bryn Mawr volleyball team hit the road Saturday afternoon for a non-conference matchup at Cairn University. Despite stretches of strong play and a tightly contested third set, the Owls fell in straight sets (16–25, 17–25, 21–25).
Highlights:
- In the opening set, Bryn Mawr kept things even early with kills from Adelaide Grace and Emma Loller, but Cairn's service runs gave the Highlanders a 25–16 win.
- The Owls responded in the second set with a block from Loller and Elise Perry and back-to-back points from Loller to cut into Cairn's lead. Despite late kills from Perry, Cairn closed the set 25–17.
- Bryn Mawr found their rhythm in the third set, using kills from Tula Reihman and Joelle Wise and a service ace from Perry to jump ahead 19–16.
- Cairn answered with a 6–0 run, capitalizing on service pressure to regain momentum.
- Grace, Loller, and Julia Zimmerman-Boyer combined for late kills to keep the Owls within reach at 21–24.
- The Highlanders sealed the match with a final kill, taking the third set 25–21 and the 3–0 match win.
