Owls Fall on the Road at York (Pa.)

YORK, PA – The Bryn Mawr soccer team hit the road on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference clash at York (Pa.), where the host Spartans came away with a 4-0 victory.

Highlights:
  • York struck first in the 19th minute, and the Owls' defense held the scoreline at 1-0 through halftime behind key stops from goalkeeper Lily Blackman. The first-year goalkeeper tallied two saves in the opening frame.
  • The Spartans found momentum early in the second half, doubling their lead in the 47th minute and adding two more tallies in the 53rd and 77th minutes. Blackman stayed busy in net, finishing the day with six saves on 10 shots on goal.
  • Bryn Mawr worked to generate chances forward through Daniela Dosen, Lourdes Sankar, and Beatriz da Silva, while defenders Hailey Ferrier and Lanie Thompson anchored the backline with full 90-minute efforts.
