GALLOWAY, NJ - Bryn Mawr picked up a 3-1 road victory over Stockton Wednesday night in Galloway, N.J., improving to 2–2 on the season. The Owls got a two-goal game from
Leya Patel and an insurance goal from
Lucie Burgess, while
Charlene Basque made key saves to hold the Ospreys to a lone late score.
Highlights
- Patel opened the scoring 4:26 into the first period on a finish from a pass in front, assisted by Annick Van Blerkom.
- Patel converted again on a penalty corner at 33:44 in the third period, giving her a two-goal night.
- Burgess added an insurance goal at 56:35 on a right-side feed from Patel.
- Stockton's Kirsten Bailey scored late at 59:01, but the late strike proved only a consolation.
- Goalkeeper Basque played all 60 minutes and made six saves (including four in the third period) to limit Stockton to one goal.
- Bryn Mawr finished with eight shots (all on goal); Stockton had 10 shots with seven on goal.
