LANGHORNE, PA - The Bryn Mawr soccer team continued their remarkable start to the 2025 season with a decisive 6–0 victory over Cairn University on Wednesday night at the Stillman Athletic Complex. With the win, the Owls improve to 5-0, marking only the second time in program history that Bryn Mawr has opened a season with five consecutive victories—the first coming back in 2011. Even more impressively, this year's squad becomes the first in school history to record five straight shutouts to begin a season.
Highlights:
- Senior Sarah Walker led the offensive surge with a hat trick, scoring at 11:29, 53:07, and 89:03, including the game-winner.
- First-year Hailey Ferrier added two goals of her own at 43:12 and 80:30, capping off a strong performance on both ends of the pitch.
- Rece Anton scored the Owls' second goal at 30:24 and also tallied an assist, helping power the Owls' midfield dominance.
- Other key contributions included assists from Daniela Dosen, Alexandra Morales (2), Helene Lopez, and Beatriz da Silva.
- The Owls controlled the flow of the match, outshooting Cairn 26–6, including 13 shots on goal.
- Goalkeeper Lily Blackman was steady in net, making two saves to earn her fifth shutout in as many games this season.
- Bryn Mawr's defense was rock solid once again, limiting Cairn to just two shots on goal and shutting down any chance of momentum for the home side.
