BRYN MAWR, PA - Bryn Mawr soccer made a statement in their first home game of the 2025 season, powering past Notre Dame (Md.) with a decisive 6–0 victory at Applebee Field. The Owls controlled the match from the opening whistle, dominating possession, creating chance after chance, and spreading the scoring across multiple players to secure their second straight win to open the season.
Highlights:
- Forward Lourdes Sankar opened the scoring in the 13th minute, finishing confidently to give Bryn Mawr an early 1–0 lead.
- Junior Rece Anton doubled the advantage in the 28th minute and then struck again in the 41st minute, this time assisted by Ciara Lalor, sending the Owls into halftime up 3–0.
- Junior midfielder Adelynn Arroyo extended the lead just five minutes into the second half, finishing a setup from Sankar to make it 4–0.
- Beatriz Da Silva added her first goal of the season in the 61st minute, converting after a clever assist from Aurora Gutterman Johns.
- First-year Olivia Terry capped off the scoring in the 79th minute, slotting her first career goal with help from Irene Eom to complete the 6–0 rout.
- The Owls' goalkeepers recorded a clean sheet, with Maeve Slemko recording the Owls' lone save of the day.
- Bryn Mawr's attack was relentless, outshooting Notre Dame (Md.) 26–1 and forcing 12 saves from the visiting goalkeeper.
