On Thursday, August 14th, Jack Stalcup was announced as the full-time assistant coach of the Bryn Mawr College Cross Country and Track & Field Programs. Stalcup originally joined the Bryn Mawr College Track & Field Program as a part-time assistant coach in November, 2024.

Originally from Cambodia, Stalcup was adopted and raised in Hugoton, KS where he developed his love for sports. In his senior year of high school, Stalcup attended the international boarding school, IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL and competed on the track team.

Stalcup attended McPherson College in Kansas and competed on the track team. During his time competing for McPherson, he helped bring in a conference team title in the 2018 outdoor season. Stalcup completed his career with an all-conference title tying for third in pole vault and finishing top 8 in the conference two more times throughout his career.

Prior to joining the Bryn Mawr Owls, Stalcup worked on his family farm (Hugoton,KS) and taught elementary P.E for three years in Salina, KS. During this time, he also coached the Salina Burn Youth Track Club. In the winter, Stalcup privately coached middle school and high school athletes, and in the spring he coached at Lakewood Middle School (KS) as the sprints, jumps, and relays coach on the track team.

He is a USATF Level 1 certified coach and completed his Masters program through Pittsburg State University (KS) in the summer of 2025.

"Jack brings a strong desire and care for contributing to the program in all aspects of its functioning, but specifically for our field event athletes," said Head Coach Haley Markos. "He is the first full-time assistant hire for the program, and his thoughtfulness will certainly elevate the quality of experience we provide for the student-athletes."
