BRYN MAWR, PA – On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024–25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large Teams, honoring student-athletes for outstanding combined achievements in both athletic competition and academic performance. Among the honorees are six Bryn Mawr College scholar-athletes, representing the field hockey and rowing programs.
The CSC Academic All-District® At-Large Teams are part of a nationally recognized program that celebrates the top student-athletes across five divisions: NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and the College Division. Nominees must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, have significant athletic contributions, and be at least a sophomore academically. Selection to the All-District Team is the first step in advancing to consideration for CSC Academic All-America® honors, which will be announced in July.
Representing Bryn Mawr field hockey are seniors
Reba Ervin,
Novy Goetgeluk, and
Eva Yacura—all of whom played pivotal roles in the Owls' historic 2024 season, which included the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Each of these student-athletes has earned repeated Centennial Conference academic and athletic honors throughout their careers and exemplifies the scholar-athlete ideal.
In rowing, seniors
Lindsay Damon and
Leah Sutton-Smith, along with sophomore
Marlena Sheldon, earned Academic All-District recognition for their commitment both in the classroom and on the water. All three were key contributors to Bryn Mawr's nationally ranked rowing program, which finished the 2024–25 season ranked No. 15 in the CRCA national poll and posted a program-record team score at the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championships.
The Academic All-America® At-Large First, Second, and Third Teams will be announced on Tuesday, July 8 (Women's Teams) and Wednesday, July 9 (Men's Teams). Honorees named to these teams represent the highest level of academic and athletic distinction at the national level.
Congratulations to Reba, Novy, Eva, Lindsay, Leah, and Marlena for this well-earned recognition and for representing Bryn Mawr College with excellence in every arena.
