Bryn Mawr Tennis Falls to Shorewomen on the Road

CHESTERTOWN, MD – The Bryn Mawr tennis team hit the road Saturday morning for a Centennial Conference clash against Washington College. Despite a strong effort and several close matches, the Owls fell by a final score of 6-1 to the Shorewomen. 

Highlights:  

  • The day started with doubles play, where first-year doubles partners Claire Emanuel and Carina Roberts teamed up to deliver an impressive win, outplaying their opponents 7-5.  

  • Eng was the lone Owl to win her singles match against the Shorewomen. After dropping the first set, Eng won the next two, 6-3, 6-4.

  • At No. 1 singles, Sophie Fenster put on an impressive battle. After dropping the first set, Fenster rallied back during set two to snag a 6-4 win but ultimately fell to her Washington College opponent in the third set.
