BRYN MAWR, PA- Bryn Mawr tennis kicked off their spring season Friday evening with a 4-3 win against the visiting Gophers of Goucher College. The win marks Bryn Mawr's third consecutive win against Goucher. The Owls dominated in doubles, sweeping all three matches to put Bryn Mawr ahead as they headed into singles. 

Highlights:  

• Sophie Fenster and Fernanda Hurtado Mariscal secured a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles. 

• Doubles partners Lowrey West and Claire Emanuel cruised to a 6-1 win at No. 2.  

• Kelli Eng and Carina Roberts capped off the sweep with a commanding 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles. 

• In singles, Bryn Mawr and Goucher traded wins in a tightly contested match. Fenster was the first Owl to step off the court at No. 1 singles with a victory of 6-2, 6-2. 

• West battled in their No. 2 singles match in a tough three-setter (6-0, 2-6, 6-2) to earn another point for Bryn Mawr.  

• Emanuel secured the match after a two-set win at No. 5 singles (6-3, 6-4).
