BRYN MAWR, PA-  The Bryn Mawr College tennis team kicked off their Centennial Conference schedule with an impressive win over Ursinus College on Saturday afternoon at home. The Owls swept all three doubles matches and pulled out a commanding 6-1 victory over the Bears.  

Highlights: 

• No. 1 doubles partners Fernanda Hurtado Mariscal and Sophie Fenster defeated their opponents in dominant fashion, 6-0. At No. 2 doubles, Lowrey West and Kelli Eng were triumphant, 6-1. 

• First-year No. 3 doubles partners Claire Emanuel and Carina Roberts finished the clean sweep of the Bears with a commanding 6-1 victory. 

• Roberts was the first Owl to secure a singles win at No. 6 with confidence, 6-0, 6-1. Eng followed her to add another impressive win at No. 3 singles and defeated her opponent, 6-1, 6-3. 

• West clinched the match for Bryn Mawr at No. 2 singles with a final score of 6-3, 6-2. 

• Hurtado Mariscal battled her Ursinus opponent at No. 4 singles and came out with a win, 6-4, 6-3. Emanuel capped off Bryn Mawr's successful day with a hard-fought match, 7-5, 6-4. 

• Gioanna Zhao and Lilly Pfister played exhibition matches for the Owls to finish off the day.
