ALLENTOWN, PA — Bryn Mawr basketball competed at Memorial Hall earlier Wednesday for the Owls first conference game of the season against Muhlenberg. How It Happened:
  • Bryn Mawr began the first quarter with a strong start, taking an early lead with Jenny Briggs scoring a layup and a fastbreak jumper to put the team ahead 4–0. The Owls maintained defensive pressure, recording two blocks and two steals, and dominated the boards with 13 rebounds.
  • Despite a solid opening, Muhlenberg capitalized on fast breaks, turnovers, and points in the paint to take control of the game. The quarter concluded with Bryn Mawr trailing 14–7.
  • The second quarter began with Bryn Mawr reducing the deficit through a jumper by Hannah Mack, bringing the score to 9–16. Briggs then connected on a 3-pointer, narrowing the gap to 12–16. Muhlenberg responded with a series of baskets, including a layup and a three-point play, extending their lead to 21–12.
  • Michelle Jiang contributed with a layup and two successful free throws, but Muhlenberg maintained control, capitalizing on turnovers and defensive rebounds. By the end of the quarter, Bryn Mawr trailed 29–16.
  • Bryn Mawr opened the third quarter with a strong offensive effort, highlighted by a series of three-pointers from Briggs and Maddy Patel, narrowing the gap early.
