Jenna Vollor turned in a standout performance, recording a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Despite her efforts, the Owls were hindered by 24 turnovers, which the Aggies converted into 26 points en route to a 59-42 victory.
How It Happened:
- Bryn Mawr began the first quarter with a strong start, featuring a three-pointer by Jenny Briggs at 9:05 assisted by Michelle Jiang. The Owls maintained an early lead with Vollor scoring in the paint, pushing the score to 7-2. The Owls dominated the boards, securing nine offensive rebounds, which contributed to their second-chance opportunities.
- As the quarter progressed, the Aggies capitalized on turnovers and fast breaks to tie the game at 9-9. Despite a solid defensive effort and Maddy Patel's jumper to even the score, Delaware Valley edged ahead with a late layup. The quarter concluded with Bryn Mawr trailing 13-11, after a competitive exchange of points.
- Bryn Mawr started the second quarter with defensive intensity, highlighted by Briggs' early steal. Despite some turnovers, the team kept the contest competitive with points in the paint. Vollor added two key jumpers, contributing to the Owls' efforts to stay close.
- Delaware Valley maintained a slight edge by converting a fast-break layup and a late three-pointer to extend their lead. Bryn Mawr closed the quarter trailing 26–22, as Delaware Valley outscored the Owls 13–11 in the quarter.
- The third quarter began with Bryn Mawr's defensive strength, highlighted by three blocks, including contributions from Hannah Mack.
