BRYN MAWR, PA — The Bryn Mawr tennis team delivered a commanding performance Saturday morning, blanking Arcadia 7–0 at home. The Owls swept all three doubles matches and then won all six singles contests to complete a perfect match and remain undefeated.
Highlights:
- The Owls set the tone early in doubles play. Bianca Vesuna and Shay Villegas dominated at No. 3 with a 6–1 win, while Sophie Fenster and Giselle Gandakusuma followed suit at No. 1, also cruising to a 6–1 victory. Kelli Eng and Claire Emanuel sealed the sweep with a sharp 6–2 performance at No. 2 doubles.
- In singles, Bryn Mawr came out firing—Fenster, Gandakusuma, and Villegas each delivered flawless 6–0, 6–0 victories at Nos. 1, 4, and 6, blanking their opponents and keeping the momentum rolling.
- Vesuna stayed in control throughout her No. 5 match, earning a decisive 6–0, 6–1 win.
- Emanuel and Eng closed out the day on a high note, grinding through long rallies to secure their wins—Emanuel 6–2, 6–1 at No. 3 and Eng 6–3, 6–3 at No. 2—to complete the Owls' dominant 7–0 sweep.
The Owls now have a 3-0 undefeated record this fall and will return to the court for their final match of the fall season on Thursday, October 9
