BRYN MAWR, PA- Bryn Mawr women's soccer played a valiant performance, earning a 0-0 draw against Muhlenberg on Wednesday afternoon at Applebee Field. Prior to kick-off, the Owls celebrated select Bryn Mawr Faculty and Staff members who have impacted the lives of the Bryn Mawr soccer student-athletes.
Highlights:
- The Owls weathered an early barrage from the Mules, as first-year goalkeeper Lily Blackman anchored the back line with 10 saves, marking her fifth shutout of the season and her second highest total of the season.
- Blackman's presence in net helped Bryn Mawr withstand 23 total shots and eight corner kicks from the visitors.
- On the offensive end, Lourdes Sankar led the attack with five shots, including three on target, while Ciara Lalor, Hailey Ferrier, and Daniela Dosen each contributed key attempts as the Owls pressed for a late winner.
- Sarah Walker and Adelynn Arroyo provided strong play through the midfield, while the defensive unit of Alexandra Morales, Michaela Gwozdz, and Ferrier held firm to secure the clean sheet.
- Bryn Mawr produced a strong second half, earning a corner opportunity in the 65th minute and maintaining sustained pressure in the final 20 minutes, but neither side could find the back of the net before the final whistle.Â
