Owls Celebrate Senior Day in Final Match of 2025 Season Against Franklin & Marshall

Bryn Mawr, PA - The Bryn Mawr soccer team honored their three seniors — #6 Sarah Walker, #12 Daniela Dosen, and #15 Jess Johnson — before taking the field for the final time this season on Saturday afternoon at Applebee Field. Despite a hard-fought effort and several impressive saves from first-year goalkeeper Lily Blackman, the Owls fell 4–0 to visiting Franklin & Marshall in Centennial Conference play.

Highlights:
  • Early in the first half, Bryn Mawr's defense stood tall as goalkeeper Blackman faced a relentless Franklin & Marshall attack. Blackman made several key saves — nine in the opening 45 minutes — to keep the Diplomats off the board through much of the first period.
  • Franklin & Marshall finally broke through in the 29th minute when Elizabeth Jones found the back of the net off a feed from Grace Craig, giving the visitors a 1–0 lead that held through halftime.
  • The Diplomats extended their advantage early in the second half as Emerson McDonald scored in the 52nd minute, assisted by Colleen Ferrarese. Despite the deficit, Bryn Mawr continued to battle defensively.
  • In the 75th minute, Franklin & Marshall capitalized on a penalty kick, with Isabella Fedele converting to make it 3–0.
  • The visitors added one final goal in the 84th minute when Ashley Inacio finished off a pass from Elizabeth Jones to seal the 4–0 result.
  • Blackman closed the afternoon with 12 total saves while five Bryn Mawr field players: Alexandra Morales, Johnson, Michaela Gwozdz, Adelynn Arroyo, and Lanie Thompson played the full thirty minutes.
The Bryn Mawr soccer team wrapped the season with five wins and one tie against conference opponent Muhlenberg College. This campaign marked the Owls' most successful season since 2019 and the best yet under Coach Scanlan's leadership.
