CHESTERTOWN, MD - Bryn Mawr soccer fell to Washington College 1-0 on Saturday at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. Despite a solid defensive effort from Bryn Mawr, which included five saves by first-year goalkeeper
Lily Blackman, Washington College secured the win with a first-half goal.
Highlights:
- Bryn Mawr earned multiple corner opportunities early in the first half, with Daniela Dosen taking a notable shot at 13:41, but did not manage to capitalize. Despite consistent pressure and strong saves by Blackman at 31:51 and 31:55, Bryn Mawr did not find the net.
- Washington College broke through in the 22nd minute with a goal by Lily Barnum, concluding the half with Bryn Mawr trailing 1-0.
- Bryn Mawr's defense held strong in the second half despite multiple attempts from the Shorewomen. Blackman made crucial saves at 55:20 and 76:33, including a notable stop of a shot by Bridget Whiteside at 77:33.
