BRYN MAWR, PA — The Bryn Mawr volleyball team returned to the Class of 1958 Gymnasium on Wednesday night, hosting Centennial Conference opponent Muhlenberg. Despite a determined defensive effort and several standout performances at the net, the Owls fell 3–0 (25–10, 25–16, 25–17) to the Mules.
Highlights:
- Bryn Mawr opened the first set with early kills from Julia Zimmerman-Boyer and Elise Perry, but Muhlenberg's offense quickly found rhythm behind a .500 hitting percentage in the set.
- The Owls' blocking duo of Perry and Lyra Aubry combined for a pair of points at the net, keeping plays alive through the mid-set stretch.
- Muhlenberg's six service aces created separation late, as Bryn Mawr dropped the opening frame 25–10.
- The Owls bounced back with sharper passing and an early 3–1 lead in the second set thanks to an ace from Adelaide Grace and kills by Zimmerman-Boyer and Emma Loller.
- Joelle Wise added power at the net with a key kill, while Omi Oliver guided the offense with five assists in the set.
- Aubry and Perry each recorded blocks to slow Muhlenberg's attack, but the Mules closed the frame with a 6–1 run to take the second, 25–16.
- In the final frame, Perry and Loller led the Owls' offense with a combined five kills while Oliver recorded her second ace of the match to earn Bryn Mawr a much needed point.
- Grace led the defensive effort with a team-high seven digs, while Anna Dravk and Oliver shared setting duties to pace the offense.
