BRYN MAWR, PA - The Bryn Mawr basketball team faced a tough test on Wednesday night as they hosted Dickinson College in Centennial Conference action. Despite a valiant effort, the Owls did not manage to overcome the Red Devils, with a final score of 74-40 in the Class of 1958 Gymnasium.

Bryn Mawr came out strong, briefly holding the lead thanks to Jessica Smith's six points in the frame. Hannah Mack added a key layup and a three-pointer to keep the Owls close. However, Dickinson's balanced attack and ability to capitalize on turnovers helped them take the lead, ending the first quarter with a 16-11 advantage.

The Owls struggled to find an offensive flow in the second quarter. Smith contributed a lone field goal, while the Red Devil's offense caught fire, led by Clair Marion and Jenna Weinstein. Dickinson's defense scored 15 points off turnovers during the period.

Coming out of halftime, the Owls looked to close the gap but faced a Dickinson offense firing on all cylinders. Dickinson's defense remained relentless, forcing turnovers in the quarter. Mack and Daphne Bracker Sturm scored inside for the Owls, but Dickinson's fast-break opportunities extended their lead.

Bryn Mawr showed their grit in the fourth quarter, outscoring Dickinson, 16-14. Smith continued her strong play, finishing with a game-high 18 points and seven rebounds. The Owls also got valuable minutes from Sena Kaper-Dale and Hannah Binder, who chipped in with key defensive stops and rebounds. Bryn Mawr's defensive intensity picked up in the fourth, limiting Dickinson to fewer fast-break opportunities.
